Make the most of Mazda Connected Services by registering your account on the MyMazda app. Please note that while you can connect multiple devices, only one device can be used at a time. For security purposes, when you log in on a new device, the app will automatically log out all other connected devices.
Follow the checklist below to register your account:
Once received via SMS, your validation code will only be valid for 10 minutes. If the code expires you will need to start the registration process again.
To enrol for Connected Services Remote features, you’ll need to sit in your vehicle, open the app, click Add vehicle, then scan and validate your car’s VIN. Keep reading for more detailed instructions:
You can also enrol in Connected Services via the My Vehicles screen on the MyMazda app. Here’s how to get started:
Connected Services provides several remote features that take convenience to the next level — all accessible from the MyMazda app home screen.
To get started, tap the REMOTE icon on the bottom menu bar. An Engine Start/Stop button will appear in the middle of the screen, along with icons for LOCK, UNLOCK, LIGHTS ON, AND LIGHTS OFF.
Note: It may take up to a minute for remote features to activate.
Make the cabin comfortable before getting into the vehicle by starting the engine with the same climate control temperature setting, as when it was last turned off. To use:
For security reasons, remote engine start/stop will not operate if the fob is in vehicle. Remote engine starts can be activated only 2 times consecutive times.
If you forget to lock the vehicle doors, you can lock them without having to return to the vehicle. They can also be unlocked for passengers near the vehicle who do not have a key. To use:
For security reasons, remote door lock/unlock will not work if the engine is running, the door is open, or the fob is in the vehicle.
Turn the hazard lights on remotely to help locate the vehicle at night. To use:
Vehicle Status helps to keep you informed about the current condition of some of your Mazda vehicle’s systems, right in your pocket, at your fingertips.
How it works: To view vehicle status, tap the STATUS icon on the bottom menu bar. The Vehicle Status Preview window will pop up at the bottom of the screen, displaying any active vehicle status alerts, as well as your current fuel level and odometer reading.
Note: Vehicle Status is not updated in real time, and may take several minutes to refresh. For more detailed vehicle status information, including tire pressure and a summary of vehicle status information, pull up on the carat icon (^) to view.
If an out-of-the-ordinary vehicle occurrence is detected, such as unlocked doors, hazard lights on or an open trunk/liftgate, Connected Services will send you a notification on the MyMazda app. To view the issue, tap the notification.
NOTE: Notifications will also pop up on your smartphone’s home screen.
Your vehicle status will only update after the engine is stopped.
Check your current fuel and odometer information from anywhere. Your current fuel level will appear at the top of the MyMazda app home screen.
Check your tire pressure for all four wheels.1
Tap the STATUS icon.
Pull up on the carat icon (^) to view tire pressure.
Non-OEM tire pressure is not detectable.

For added convenience, Connected Services can help you locate your vehicle — a feature that’s especially helpful in crowded surface parking lots. It will also let you send points of interest directly to your vehicle’s Mazda Connect display, to help plan routes ahead of time.
The Send to Car function will set up routes ahead of time, so they appear on your vehicle’s Mazda Connect display. Here’s how to use it:
Swipe left on a POI to pull up the Send to Car shortcut.
Note: Send to Car requires an optional retailer-installed SD card navigation accessory.
Finding your vehicle Vehicle Finder will display the location of your vehicle on a map, and let you honk the horn and flash your hazard lights for easier identification in crowded locations. Here’s how:
If your vehicle is parked in a location with weak radio signals, like an underground parking garage, location information may be incorrect or unavailable.
For enhanced peace of mind, Mazda Connected Services allows you to view your vehicle’s health report, including active maintenance alerts, when to get an oil change, engine oil levels, tire pressure status, maintenance alerts, and more. To view your Vehicle Health Report, follow the instructions below.
Note: Vehicle Health is not updated in real time and may take several minutes to refresh.
If a vehicle malfunction is detected, Connected Services will notify you via the Mazda Connect display, and via your MyMazda app. If an alert is shown on your vehicle’s instrument cluster or Mazda Connect display, you can get the detailed information you need right inside your vehicle.
NOTE: For more information on receiving notifications on the instrument cluster and Mazda Connect centre display, refer to your vehicle’s Owner’s Manual.
If you have Mazda Roadside Assistance coverage, the MyMazda app can provide you with a link to on-road support, via the Mazda Canada Roadside app.
