Yes, as driving modes differ, the driver is always in control of which power source they may want to use. Drivers can switch from pure electric battery1 to pure combustion engine and use both in differing levels of dependency between each power source.
Repairs for the Plug-In Hybrid battery are covered by a limited warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first.
Every detail of the CX-90 Plug-In Hybrid was engineered in unison from sketch to assembly, and safety is among the top priorities in any Mazda. This is especially true in a family-sized vehicle. A standard suite of i-Activsense safety features not only proactively takes care of what matters most, but reactive features that are designed to altogether mitigate the risk of collision or soften an impending collision also helps keep everyone inside safe. This includes the battery’s High Voltage Cut Off, which cuts the power in the event of a collision to keep from overheating, helping to prevent any additional damage.
Standard features like Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Lane-Keep Assist expand your awareness beyond the driver’s seat to help keep you and your Mazda in control.
