How to Use the Rear Pedestrian Alert

When the rear pedestrian alert operates

If the rear camera detects a pedestrian while reversing, the rear pedestrian alert operates.

When the rear pedestrian alert operates, the driver is alerted to the danger by the warning indication. Furthermore, if the system determines there is a possibility of your vehicle making contact with a pedestrian, a warning sound is activated.

 


If the rear camera cannot detect pedestrians correctly, the rear pedestrian alert may not operate normally.

Temporarily turning off the warning sound

Tap on the center display while the warning sound is activated.

Turning off the rear pedestrian alert

The rear pedestrian alert can be turned off using Mazda Connect.
