FIS Snowboard World Championships
Mazda Canada was proud to present the 10th FIS Snowboard World Championships at Québec City and Stoneham, held between January 18-27, 2013. With 432 of the world's best snowboarders participating, the competition hosted athletes from across the globe in events that spanned snowboarding's major disciplines - from Half Pipe and Snowboardcross, to Big Air and Giant Slalom parallel. The FIS Championships also played host to additional events like the Fashion Jam - a fashion show featuring top snowboard and skateboard brands.
In addition to supporting this international sporting event, Mazda Canada is also the official sponsor of Canada Snowboard. In the years to come Mazda Canada, is proud to provide funding for professional and aspiring Canadian athletes across the country.
CanoeKayak Canada
Mazda Canada, a sponsor of the Canadian National Canoe and Kayak Team since 1995, is proud to play a role in supporting CanoeKayak Canada in developing world-class athletes and coaches.
CanoeKayak Canada is the national organization that governs sprint, whitewater and marathon canoe and kayak in Canada. Founded in 1900, the organization represents more than 60 clubs across Canada. CanoeKayak Canada is also committed to the sport's long-term development with programs such as Canoe Kids, the Aboriginal Paddling Initiative and Paddleall for people with a disability. A member of the International Canoe Federation, the world's governing body for paddling sports, CanoeKayak Canada teams have been consistently successful at the international level highlighted by 21 Olympic medal performances.
